On the front page of our website, in the top right hand corner of the page, there is a link to MSDS. You will need to know the product and color to get the correct MSDS. (click here) to go directly to the MSDS page. Is your paint water or oil based? Both. Our traditional line of paints and chalks are oil based. Our new Waterborn Athletic and Traffic paints DO NOT have oil based solvents and ONLY use water as the solvent. Which tip should I order? If your Super Striper is green, you will need to order paint with the “Spade Tip”. If your Super Striper is orange, you will need to order the “H” Tip. How do I change the tip on the paint can? Because of the high paint solids associated with this product, it may become necessary to replace a clogged spray tip on a can used intermittently to assure a clear, defined stripe edge. With the can upright and pointed away from you, use a cloth to remove the old tip and press on the new one. Press and twist on in a quick and firm manner to reduce minor discharge. Expect a snug fit. How many cans are in a case? Every case of Fox Valley paint contains 12 cans. Can I order different colors in one case? No, we only sell one color per case, but remember our paint does come with a full 10 year guarantee from date of purchase. Can I send only the handle of my Super Striper for repair? No, we require the entire machine to be returned for reconditioning or repair. How and where do I send my Fox Valley equipment for repair? What is the difference between Super Stripe Traffic paint and Super Supreme Traffic paint? Super Supreme Traffic paint is designed for heavy duty traffic areas like parking lots, factory floors and warehouses. It is more durable because it is made from a modified acrylic formula that dries to a harder finish. It is extra heavily pigmented to resist wearing, fading and weathering. Super Supreme Traffic paint has been lab tested to last approximately 50% longer than our excellent Super Stripe Traffic paint. Can I use my UPS account to ship my order? No. UPS has strong regulations for shipping aerosol paint. Because we have a special arrangement with UPS, we are able to immediately reship any packages that have been damaged during shipment, at no extra cost to our customers. How long does it take for the paint to dry? Depending on the humidity conditions and climate, it normally takes 5 minutes for the paint to dry to the touch. One hour for light traffic and 24 hours for a parking lot or heavy traffic. How long does the striping paint last?
This depends on the condition of the hard surface you are applying the paint to and the amount
of traffic. Also, climate conditions are a big factor, as well as personal preference. We
recommend re-striping every year. Super Supreme paint is designed to last 50% longer than
our excellent Super Stripe paint.
How long will Easy Marker paint and Chalk last?
Climate conditions are a big factor in determining this. Easy Marker paint should last until the
grass grows out. It will last much longer on hard surfaces. Chalk is designed to be temporary
and should only last for a couple of weeks.
How do you adjust the width of the stripe on the Super Striper or the Athletic Striper? It’s simple. Just release the pinch lock on the handle and slide the handle up or down on the post to the desired width marking shown on the post. Lock the pinch lock and you are ready to go. (click here) How do you stripe a line right next to a curb? Attach the “L” bracket to the side of the striper. Release the pinch lock and pull the handle off the center post. Place the handle on the “L” bracket and secure by locking the pinch lock and you are ready to go. (click here) Can the handle from the Super Striper or the Athletic Striper be used free hand?
Yes, both the Super Striper and the Athletic Striper handles can be used free hand. Simply release
the pinch lock and remove the handle from the machine. Place a can of paint in the handle and
away you go. Remember, don’t tilt the handle forward or the can will become off balance.
Can you use Athletic paint in the Super Striper? Yes, it can be used in the Super Striper; however, the wind guard is much lower on the Super Striper which makes it much harder to push through grass. Also, the Athletic Striper has larger wheels to roll smoothly over uneven/rough terrain to give you a straight line. As for using Athletic paint on pavement, it is not recommended. It is designed for using on grass. Traffic paint will give you much better, longer lasting results. Can I use Traffic paint in the Athletic Striper? Yes, it can be used; however, the wind guard is much higher on the Athletic Striper, which could hinder getting sharp, crisp lines on pavement. As for using Traffic paint on grass, it has a higher acidity and may burn the grass. Can I use Easy Marker paint in my Athletic or Super Striper? Easy Marker paint and Chalk are designed to be used with our Easy Marker Handle, Pistol or by hand. The spray tips/nozzles are different than those of the striping paints and will not fit. Will other brands of paint work in your machines? Our machines were designed to be used with our paints. We cannot guarantee other brands will work. Also, using other brands of paint will void the lifetime guarantee on the equipment. Will your paint work in another company's striping machine?
We cannot guarantee our paint will work in someone else’s machine. However, if you order our paint
with the “H” tip, it will usually work in other machines. Why not use our machine? It has a Lifetime
Guarantee!
How far will my paint go?
Easy Marker paint will mark 2 ½ miles per case. Easy Marker Chalk will mark 1250 linear feet.
Super Stripe Traffic paint will stripe a 3” wide stripe 200-400 linear feet per can. Super Supreme
paint will stripe a 3" stripe 200- 400 linear feet per can. Athletic paint will stripe a 3” wide stripe
about 4400 feet per case.
Will the paint damage the grass? Our Easy Marker paint may stunt the growth of the grass, but will not kill it. Athletic paint was designed to be used on grass and is completely safe to use. Super Stripe and Super Supreme paints have a higher acidity base and may burn grass. Will the paint wash away in the rain? All of our paint will withstand the rain, but environmental conditions create a variable as to how long it will last. What is the best temperature to use your paint?
The best conditions are if the ground is above freezing. The ground must be clean and dry. Also,
the can should be kept between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
My lines look thin in the middle and there is a lot of overspray. What could be wrong? The can could be too cold. Try warming it up to between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. I am getting a fuzzy line that looks thinner than normal. What could be wrong? The can may be too hot. Try putting the can in a cool place. The can should be between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. How should I store the paint? Store cans or cases upright in a cool dry place. Do not expose to extreme temperatures. Before storing partially used cans, first hold the can upright and pointed away from you. Next, press the tip sideways for a few seconds to clear any residual paint from the tip. What should I do if the paint will not spray?
Try replacing the tip with another one. Make sure you have shaken the can at least 1 minute after
the balls start to rattle. If you still have problems call our customer service department at
800-323-4700.
How big is the fluorescent roll of Flagging Tape? 150 inches or 12.5 ft per roll. How big is the standard roll of Flagging Tape? 300 inches or 25 ft per roll. Are the Stencils reusable?
Yes, they are made of a heavy duty oil board.
I just striped my newly sealed parking lot. Why does the paint look discolored?
When striping a freshly sealed parking lot, a small test area should be done first. Oil based sealants
need time to cure. The curing process may take one week or more. Once it is cured, retest on
another area and the color should be fine.
Does your paint contain lead? No. All our paints are lead free. How do I make a circle with the Easy Marker Handle? Put a stake in the ground at the center of where you would like your circle to be, then loop a string around the stake. Next, thread the string through the eye at the bottom of the Easy Marker Handle and tie it off. This will give you a perfect circle. (click here) How fast should I walk behind the Super Striper?
It’s all about personal preference. Fast enough to make a crisp even stripe using a steady pace.
How many ounces are in a can of Easy Marker paint?
Between 15 and 17 oz. Either will mark up to 2 ½ miles because our paint is packed with pigment.
Can our company logo be printed on your flags? Not at this time. Is there a discount if I order a large quantity of cases?

Can I buy only 1 or 2 cans of paint?
We only sell paint in cases of 12 cans.
Can you send my order overnight? We can overnight a Striper or Easy Marker Handle but aerosol paint can only be sent by ground. What happens if I order the wrong type of paint? If you make a mistake and order the wrong paint or color of paint, you can call our customer service department at 800-323-4700 for instructions on how to return the product. Some restrictions will apply. What is solvent? Solvents are the chemicals that keep the paint in a liquid form so it will spray out of the can. How soon will my order ship?
We ship every week day, Monday through Friday. If an order is placed by 2 PM Monday – Friday,
it will normally ship that same day.
Should I take the Easy Marker cap off to use it in the handle? No. The Easy Marker paint is designed to fit into the Easy Marker handle with the cap still on the can. What paint should I use to put a logo on a playing field?
You can use Athletic paint, or if you need more colors, you can try Easy Marker paint.
Do you have a sealer to put over the stripes? No, our product is designed to hold up under normal conditions. If you have heavy traffic areas, try our Super Supreme paint. Why does paint spray all over the inside of my striper handle? There could be many reasons for this. If the spray tip isn’t lined up with the opening in the bottom of the handle, it may fill the handle with paint. If the striper has been used a lot, the handle may be clogged with paint, therefore, not allowing the spray tip to fit properly. Call our customer service department at 800-323-4700 for information on how to return your striper for reconditioning. What can I use to clean my Super Striper? You can use a clean rag or paper towel for fresh spills or a bit of mineral spirits can sometimes be helpful. Is there a model number on my Super Striper?
No. Most of the Super Stripers out there now are either Green or Orange colored. That is how we
tell them apart.
What does APWA mean?
APWA stands for American Public Works Association.
What width of stripes will my striper make?
Our stripers will make lines between 2.5 and 4.5 inches.
What is the length of the Original Easy Marker Handle? The length of the Easy Marker Handle is 34 inches long. What is the length of the Easy Marker Handle XL? The length of the Easy Marker Handle XL is 40 inches long. Can your paint be used on walk-in coolers or freezers?
The paint will work best at a temperature between 65 – 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
What paint can I use to stencil on metal drums stored outside?
Our paint is not recommended for use on metal drums stored outside.
